The CSIR Convention centre is located next to the N1 highway, with off-ramps leading right to the venue. There is more than ample parking space at the centre, but the Convention centre can also easily be reached by means of the Gautrain, with a Gautrain bus stop at the Centre. The CSIR Convention centre is within walking distance of the Lynnwood Bridge, Glenfair Centre, guest houses and hotels. The CSIR has excellent facilities to host this congress.

The Convention centre is situated in a natural parkland environment, with a rural atmosphere.
